The idea of this blog, is to have a place to go for some new ideas for your party. I have collected many pictures over time from many places.

Most of the pictures on my blog are NOT my own pictures. So I don't take any credit.

CREATIVE >home and party!

Ideas on items you can make at home, for your home or party....

Shell wreath

Cute for any window or empty corner space.

Real easy, just hot glue the shells around the led lights.

Sea shell toothpicks. I'd use hot glue to make these.

If you are good at candle making then here's a cute idea!

A decor idea. Cheap and easy to do for big events as well as just around your home.

Hot glue your shells as above, for a salt and pepper holder.
Very fun to do for weddings and other events.

If you can find a big shell, why not use it as a vase?

Glue shells on your plain-jane pots for a neat effect.

Glue shells on your plane-jane frame for a neat affect.

Shell buttons.

Ideas on candles....

Painted bamboo candle holders. Also great to use as a vase.

To do this look, fill a can with water and freeze it. Once it's frozen take it out and use a hammer and nail to punch the holes in.
For all those extra shells you have around.

Take two vase, one large and one smaller to fit inside the large one. In the large one add water and food coloring. Next, add the empty small vase inside and then a candle.

A big glass holder for all sorts of mini lanterns.

Sparkle your candle holders.

An easy way is to light a red candles and as it's burning, drip the hot wax over the candle sticks on the tip. Make sure of course you place some news paper or paper towel underneath! This is a great idea for Halloween!

There's many ideas for this one. You can use ribbons of all colors and styles and glue on a cute little flower.

RANDOM ideas

It's such a neat centerpiece. A collection of all your rare little bottles.

Made with simply placing plates on cups. I personally would use some hot glue, it'll keep this from falling and it's easy to remove after too.

For your hot plate;
I personally hot glue my corks together, it's really pretty to use at dinner!

If you are having a little fire to cook some meat on, try doing this idea. Take a pine comb and some herbs and place in a newspapers as shown above. Place it in the fire for some great smell.

Hang in your shower and as the steam heats the herbs you'll enjoy a great smell!

Uses for your empty jars.

Little trick, cucumber water. It doesn't change the taste of your water much at all. But it's pretty and good for you! :)

It's a pretty little idea to glue on some cute little butterflies on your guests straws. You could probably find many little things to glue on at any crafts store.

Cookie cutter napkin ring. It's actually a nice idea to use as a party favor at a baby shower. You could have hearts for a girl and stars for a boy.

Using your pots as serving trays.

Cute!!

Cut out many styles of shapes on construction paper and place inside the shade. Tape it on and turn on the light, it's a neat effect.

I have seen these on wedding web sites. Trust me, I bought one for my wedding at a big discount store, it was Wal Mart or something, and it cost me I think 13$ rather than sometimes 60$ on these wedding sites. OR you can bring in your favorite frame to a photography and print shop, they can sometimes place the cardboard in for you. It's one of the simplest things to do! At your wedding or other event just remove the glass to have people sign.

OK, this can be tricky or easy. On the back of a canvas draw out your picture. Then poke a hole into the picture every inch or so (depends how many led lights you have). Punch the holes with a pen, or tip of a sharp knife. Now take some string led lights and place the bulbs about half an inch into these holes. You want to make the holes smaller than the bulbs so the bulbs are secure. After you are done, plug it in and see it light up!

There's always so many things you can glue onto your led lights. Don't get me wrong, this is so pretty and yet, I still haven't done it! Something i'll try this summer I guess. Because I know it will make a dramatic look.

Some scented or special leaves as coasters.

String through pumpkins.
You know, my mother in law just asked me how she can decorate her long fence. I might just show her this idea. To make the pumpkins last a  little longer I would maybe spray with sealer. See if that works? Either way, I once cut out holes in small pumpkins to add a little tea light inside. Surprisingly they lasted a good week or two. So for Thanksgiving week this could be neat!

If I were to use leaves as centerieces I would probably make sure no one is trying to see across the table! haha I'd more than likely add this look to a corner table as decor or even to large jars holding a door open or just taking space up.

Pumpkin vases.

Lolipop holder. I did mine last year with a hammer and a long nail. It worked nicely!!

A scarf blanket.

Painted Rocks. I started doing this last year. My rocks have gotten bigger in size too and I have actually given some as gifts. Make sure to seal it after you are done painting though. So the rain doesn't wash your drawing away. >

It's so pretty to add these to your garden or your door step. I have some on my big front porch stairs.

I like doing these and adding them to my potted plants. You can word them in any way or have little flowers on them. This picture looks like these are "wishing stones." Which is also a nice idea! Google it, they are a nice gift.

A handmade wooden sign. I know there's a woman on e-bay who makes these. I have boughten a few now. If you're talented with a brush, why not try it yourself?

A diaper cake made by you is always a very generous idea.

You can get letters made of fabric at most discount stores and crafts stores. Just sew them onto your pillow case and there-u-go...pretty!
